Want To Know How To Be ‘Besties’ With The Universe?

If being besties with the Universe sounds a bit bonkers, bear with me.  Because believe me, when you dive deep into personal (and business) growth, cultivating your connection to the source of success and abundance really matters. 

So, let me ask you the same question I ask all my clients: are you on best friend terms with the Universe?Let me be clear here. I'm talking proper grown-up besties. You know how this works. It's a thick and thin relationship with someone who believes in you and has your back. Someone loyal, loving, and ready to set you straight when you're losing the plot or letting others set your agenda. 

What I'm not talking about here is the kind of capricious, too cool for school, on again off again, besties you might have had growing up. 

You remember how that worked?

Those moving feast friendships built on sharing 'must have' stuff and being top girls who took all of that for granted.  For sure, not all our early besties fit this mutable mould. But most of us can recall a period of fair-weather friendships that waxed and waned based on who was fastest to endorse our whims and deliver on our wants.

Shifting from shaky to steadfast

When you feel shaky and cut off from the source and disappointed in the Universe, remember this…the Universe (however you envisage 'it' or 'her') is steadfast and always has your interests firmly at heart. She always delivers what you need. Even when you think she's messed up or missed your delivery, I promise you she hasn't.

If the Universe sends you brown paper packages when you're expecting a hamper from Harrods, she'll have her reasons. 

Perhaps she's telling you, 'I'm on board with what you've asked for, but I have to deliver it in a way that won't be immediately obvious.'

Maybe she's showing you that some of our most precious gifts arrive unexpectedly and in the most unprepossessing packaging.

Breaking down and breaking through

If you feel abandoned by the Universe, hold on. Real growth comes when we transform breaking points into turning points. Cultivate grace and stay in the game with the Universe. Her schedule may be mysterious so hold the faith for what you can't see YET. And do something while you wait. Check the evidence. 

Journal some unexpected yet perfectly timed deliveries. Recall transformative people, opportunities and insights that arrived 'out of the blue'. Remember when something achingly awkward morphed into something exquisitely elegant. Then send a smile and nod to the Universe. As your savviest and most steadfast besties, she had at hand in all of this.
